Church Board:    Our church board is made up of our deacons and elders. The board exists to serve the local church body, and since both deacons and elders were given to the church in the New Testament for service.  We have combined the two in order to serve the needs of the church.

Elders:  In the New Testament we learn that elders were not novices, they were men of experience and the wisdom that comes from expereince. They function to give guidance and counsel to the church.  Therefor elders also funcion in teaching and preaching  rolls.  Presently our elders include our Founding Pastor, H. O. Cochran and our Senior Pastor, Daniel R. Hocker. 

Deacons: At Christian Fellowship we believe that Deacons are given to the church for service.  We are instructed in the New Testament to look for men full of the Holy Spirit and to put them in charge of serving special needs of the church.  The were specifically given the responsibility of taking care of day to day services, including taking care of the widows and serving tables. By application we believe that this indicates that the deacons were men with servants hearts. In what follows we introduce our deacans.

Hubert Cochran                                                       Hubert is a native of Whitfield County. He graduated from Lee College (now Lee University) in 1978, married Janet Pope of Jacksonville, FL, and moved to Ft. Pierce, FL, to teach in a private Christian school. In 1984, he moved back to Dalton to work in the family furniture business. Hubert has been an active member at Christian Fellowship since that time. Besides serving as a deacon he also teaches the Adult Sunday School and Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study. He also participates in the music program by playing his trombone and the congas & bongos.

Robert Yauger                                                                                      Robert lives in Cohutta, Georgia with his wife, Renee, and his two daughters, Katelyn and Melody.  He works for Shaw industries by day and is a dad and song writer the rest of the time.  Robert also serves the body as the Music Minister and providing his wonderful talent by playing the guitar and singing.

Church Staff:

Treasurer - Daniel Hocker, Jr.                                                       Daniel is the oldest son of our Senior Pastor, and a 2000 graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, TN.   He is currently employed by Bates Furniture Company in the Accounts Payable Department.  A former National Ranger of the Year,  Daniel is giving back to the Ranger Ministry by serving as the Senior Commander for our local outpost and as the Sectional Commander for the Rome Section.  Daniel's voice can be heard in our praise and worship as he sings with our Praise Team and teaches the Teen Sunday School Class.

Secretary - Janet Cochran                                                           Janet Pope Cochran, although a native of Jacksonville, FL, has lived in Whitfield County since 1984. She married Hubert Cochran after his college graduation in 1978. Janet also graduated from Lee College (now Lee University) in 1995 and works as the Director of the Dalton Convention and Visitors Bureau. Janet serves as the Sunday School secretary and sings with the praise and worship team.

Sunday School Secretary - Stephanie Cheathem                             Stephanie lives in Rocky Face where she lives with her daughter, Shelby. She serves the church in the Sunday School Department and uplifts everyone with her quick whit and wonderful humor.
